Before and After School Provision

Breakfast Club

A breakfast club is available every morning in the school hall from 7.45am to 8.40pm.  There is a small charge of £3.00, which includes cereal, toast and a drink followed by various activities. This club is available for all our pupils including nursery.

After School Club

The After School Club helps parents or carers who need wrap around play care for their children while they are at work. The after school club is for children aged from 4 – 11 (4 year olds in the reception class are eligible to attend). The club is a place where children can access a play environment which is stimulating and varied with a range of activities such as arts/crafts, games and physical play for children to choose from. A quiet area for reading and homework is also available. The After School Club follows policies and procedures already in place within the school. The club operates from 3.15pm to 5.45pm daily; there is an £8.00 charge per session.

Booking System for Breakfast Club and After School Club

Breakfast Club and After School club MUST be booked online through the School Gateway.  Places are limited to 24 children per session due to staffing numbers.

Sessions have to be paid for at the time of booking otherwise it will not let you reserve a place. The system works the same as the Dinner Money payment system so if you wish to you can keep a credit balance which will sit on the system until you need to use it. Parents who use Childcare Vouchers will see their balance increase as and when vouchers are received.

There will be a cut off for bookings; for Breakfast Club this will be 2 nights before the day required and for After School Club it will be 1 night, this is so that registers can be printed off and ready for each session.

There will be no facility to cancel when you have booked so please ensure you only book sessions you require as there will still be a charge if you do not give 48 hours’ notice by email to

Within the app there is a help section in the right hand corner that shows videos and tutorials if you need it. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact school.

Breakfast Club has become very popular over this half term and as such, on quite a few occasions, has been full. The maximum number we can accommodate is 24 and this is due to insurance and staff to pupil ratio.

Please can I remind all parents that children must be booked into breakfast club sessions via the School Gateway and that just turning up at school is no longer allowed. If you turn up with your child or send your child in when they are not booked in you may be turned away and asked to make alternative arrangements.

We do understand that sometimes things can come up at the last minute and we will help where we can. If you have missed the cut off to book your child in online, please ring school or email school using both these email addresses, ( and, before 3:00pm the day before and we will either confirm that your child is alright to attend or advise that we are not able to accommodate your request. Again please do not just turn up if you have not had a response.

Yours truly

Mrs H Otley
