Computing

At Keresforth, we understand the value technology plays not only in supporting the Computing and whole school curriculum, but overall in the day-to-day life of our school. We believe that technology can provide: enhanced collaborative learning opportunities; better engagement of pupils; easier access to rich content; support conceptual understanding of new concepts and can support the needs of all our pupils. We believe that all children should be prepared for life in the digital world and understand how it works. We want them to be digitally literate and able to transfer their skills to other areas of the curriculum, for presenting and researching, doing so with confidence. We also want children who understand the importance of positive behaviours online and what to do if there is an issue. With the high expectations we hold, we aim for the majority of children to reach age related expectations by the end of each Key Stage or have made good progress from their individual starting points.
